Who Am I Really? Your Identity In Christ

Have you ever struggled with low self esteem? With confidence? Have you ever felt like God didn’t love you?

I’ve felt like that too.

But Ephesians 1 and 2 tell us something different than the voices in your head at 3 am.

Paul, is writing to the church in Ephesus, whilst he’s imprisoned in Rome.

He communicates a truth that kinda blew my mind at first. Read the summary of what he says below. Each one is your identity in Christ. Each one is who God says you are. Think about each one. God is talking about YOU.

You are blessed

You are holy and blameless

You are predestined

You are adopted

You are redeemed

You are forgiven

You are chosen

You are sealed with the Holy Spirit

You are saved by grace

You are Gods masterpiece.

You! He’s talking about you!!!

God loves you more than you can ever know. Seriously!

It doesn’t matter what other people say. It doesn’t matter what you tell yourself.

BECAUSE JESUS LOVES YOU.

Go read Ephesians 1 and 2. NOW. Think about those words.

I’m going to do a deep dive on each and every one of those truths, so if a particular one sat with you, look out for more posts soon.

If you repeat these everyday and believe them, I assure you your self confidence is going to improve. Not magically overnight, but over time of repeating it everyday and practising thinking good thoughts not negative ones. And for those who are shy like me, its going to take some real life practise too…

Have a wonderful week and remember; you are blessed, holy, blameless, predestined, adopted, redeemed, forgiven, chosen, sealed, saved AND GODS MASTERPEICE!!!
