Handwritten to-do list with tasks and checkboxes, some checked off

As teenage girls we have to-do list a mile long right? It can get overwhelming deciding what “to-do” first.

But even when you think you have covered everything you need on your list, you’ve probably forgotten the most important thing of all.

Put God first.

Yeah,Yeah I hear you say. We read our bible and pray every night we don’t need that on our to-do list. I thought the same thing too. But no. I’m not talking about remembering to read your bible, I’m talking about something much deeper. Put God First does not just mean remembering to read your bible at night, It means putting God first in EVERYTHING.

It means always walking in His light, every day. It means not skipping church to go to the market. It means sticking to your standards even when it leaves you out. It means keeping a Godly view at school. It means when in the face of adversity, remembering Him.

It means, always keeping your eyes on Him. And even if you look away momentarily, it means asking for forgiveness and setting our eyes back on Him.

Because putting God first in everything, always having him in our mind, always settling our eyes on Him, that is sooo much more important than anything else on your list (I’m not saying to skip your homework or not feed the dog!)

Prioritise what’s important.

Have a lovely day,
