My ‘life verse’ is Romans 12:2 (“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is; his good, pleasing and perfect will.” ). I try to model this verse in my everyday life; try to let God transform me in my everyday life, instead of choosing worldly things (I will be posting honest observations of what this verse means to me and how it can affect your life too soon!).
One of the main things that has helped me to keep transforming in Gods name (now you know the story behind my blog name!), apart from prayer and reading Gods word, is ‘Self Standards’.
Self Standards are basically a few standards you can set for yourself to help you become a better person. Please note though that ‘my standards’ is different to my rules for me. Standards are a standard of living I want to reach, things I want to become. Self Rules however are more practical things, like ‘I wont lie, cheat or steal’. Rules are also important. But today let’s focus on Self Standards.

For me, it is very important that my standards are modelled and firm in the word of God. Each and every one of my standards align with my Christian faith and the New Testament.
The ones I’ve listed in the image above are some of my most important ones (pls note they are not in order of most important, they are random!). As a Christian the most important one for me is ‘God is my ultimate priority’. This reminds me to serve and worship God first. To pray first. To put God before everything else.
If you are a Christian trying to become your best self in the image of the one true King, then I would highly recommend creating your own list of self standards. They are one huge factor in my journey being transformed in His image.
Have a wonderful Sunday,
TransformedInHisImage ❤️
